The Challenge For New Retailers Online – Queues Start Early

During the Covid19 pandemic, of course, as much as possible, shopping for necessities is done at home. Not only basic needs in the form of food, but other needs to reduce the pressure of boredom such as books, cosmetics, and even clothes. Of course even though at home you want to look neat and cool too.

There are some offline retail businesses that have turned online, which have very good delivery speeds, some are very slow, for those that are very slow, customers until every day start asking themselves, “Where is my order?”. The disappointment gets even bigger if there are no regular updates about the ordering position.

It can be understood that for some offline retail suddenly going online is not easy. Usually, customers who look for their own products at the store and queue only happen at the cashier. Now online queues have started since orders entered, payments entered, search for goods, packaging, delivery, not to mention queuing questions from customers both before ordering, to questions from customers who are anxiously waiting for the goods to arrive. Not to mention that because of the capacity of the workers, the storage system for goods still needs to be changed to increase the speed of the process of searching for goods, which can number in the thousands.

Speaking of queues, in online purchases the most important factor is the length of delivery.

A big challenge that must be fixed immediately so that buyers still want to come back to shop.

Stay at home and be healthy,

DNE Team
